Anna Trebunskaya – Co‑Owner & Ballroom Instructor World‑class ballroom coach and former Dancing With the Stars professional, helping South Bay students build confidence, connection, and joy through dance.

Anna Trebunskaya

Co‑Owner

Best known for her many seasons as a professional on Dancing With the Stars, Anna brings world‑class dance experience to a studio centered on warmth, community, and encouragement.

Anna grew up in Chelyabinsk, Russia in a family of ballroom dancers. She began dancing at age six and won her first competition at seven. At 17, she moved to the U.S. to pursue her dream of becoming a world‑class competitor — a dream she fulfilled.

Career Highlights

  • Ranked 6th in the U.S.

  • Ranked top 24 in the world

  • Amateur Standard Youth Champion (1997)

  • 2004 USA Rising Star Latin Champion

  • 2nd place — Blackpool Rising Star Latin

  • NDCA licensed adjudicator

She appeared on 10 seasons of Dancing With the Stars, beginning with NFL legend Jerry Rice (runner‑up). Anna also performed in touring stage shows including Dance to the Movies, Ballroom With a Twist, and Forever Tango.

Her media work includes features in major outlets such as Shape Magazine, Life & Style, Sports Illustrated, People, and appearances on shows like Shark Tank, Hell’s Kitchen, and Family Feud.

Today, Anna is passionate about helping everyday people experience confidence, joy, and connection through dance. She is deeply involved in the South Bay community, volunteering in local schools and supporting PTA programs.

Irina Trebunskaya

Co‑Owner

A former Russian professional ballroom champion finalist and U.S. Pro/Am champion, Irina Trebunskaya brings decades of global experience — and a heart for teaching — to YCD Studio.

Irina was Anna’s first dance teacher and the guiding force behind her early training. She has led dance programs in Chelyabinsk, opened and run a studio in New York City, and developed countless dancers and instructors over her career.

She is certified as a Master of Dance in all four major ballroom styles: International Standard, International Latin, American Smooth, & American Rhythm.

Irina is also:

  • A USA Dance and WDSF adjudicator

  • A choreographer

  • Certified in Autism Movement Therapy

  • An educator working with youth in local schools

She is a founder of Dance It Up, a nonprofit supporting dance programs, and the organizer of the Hot Ballroom Dancesport Challenge, an internationally recognized competition in Los Angeles.

Irina’s warmth, mentorship, and passion for teaching have shaped the culture of YCD Studio from day one.

Sarajane Bradford

General Manager | Instructor

With a theater and arts background from UC Irvine, Sarajane blends creativity, warmth, and organization to support both the front‑of‑house and behind‑the‑scenes life of YCD Studio.

She is:

  • Head of the Wedding Dance Department

  • General Manager

  • Instructor specializing in Salsa, Bachata & Swing

  • Behind‑the‑scenes media creator for showcases and events

Sarajane also supports the Dance It Up nonprofit and helps produce Hot Ballroom Dancesport Challenge.

Her specialty is helping wedding couples and new dancers feel completely at ease, turning dance lessons into a joyful, memorable part of their journey.

Konstantin Yakunin

Instructor

With 30+ years of professional experience, Konstantin is an accomplished ballroom dancer and adjudicator with USA Dance and WDSF.

His background includes:

  • Former competitive Ballroom & Latin dancer in Russia

  • Regional 10‑Dance Champion (1987–1993)

  • Extensive formation team leadership

  • Certifications from the Russian Federation Professional Union of Ballroom Dance

  • Certified in Autism Movement Therapy

Konstantin brings clarity, structure, and kindness to every lesson.

Fun fact: he and Irina Trebunskaya were once dance partners in Russia!

Amanda Mendoza

Youth Instructor

A South Bay native, Amanda began dancing at age nine and rediscovered her love for movement when she joined YCD Studio two years ago. Her passion for Ballroom grew quickly, fueled by the supportive community and the joy of learning something new.

With a B.A. in History and an M.A. in Teaching, Amanda has spent the last five years in her dream job as a high‑school history teacher. At YCD Studio, she blends her teaching expertise with her lifelong connection to dance to support and inspire our Youth Program dancers.

She is:

  • Youth Program Instructor

  • Specialist in building confidence and foundational Ballroom skills for young dancers

  • Passionate educator with experience guiding students of all learning styles

  • A friendly, encouraging presence who helps kids feel welcomed, supported, and excited to grow

Amanda loves watching young dancers find their rhythm, confidence, and creativity — and she’s thrilled to help shape the next generation of YCD dancers.

Vladislav Ogurtsov

Instructor

Vlad began dancing at age seven and has spent the years since training, competing, and performing across Standard, Latin, and Classic Ballroom. Originally from Russia, he became a finalist in major Russian Championships and U.S. competitions before dedicating the last nine years to teaching dancers of all ages.

His background includes:

  • Finalist — Russian Championships

  • Finalist — Major U.S. Ballroom & Latin competitions

  • Extensive training in Standard, Latin & Classic Ballroom

  • Nine years of teaching experience working with dancers of all ages — from 4‑year‑olds to adults

Known for his calm, supportive teaching style, Vlad focuses on helping students build strong technique, musicality, and confidence. He enjoys working with dancers at every level and loves watching students discover their growth, skill, and joy on the dance floor.
