YCD Studio is a welcoming ballroom dance studio co‑founded by Anna and Irina Trebunskaya. With decades of combined professional experience, Anna’s time on Dancing With the Stars, and deep ties to the South Bay community, they’ve created a warm, encouraging space where students of all levels can grow, gain confidence, and discover the joy of dance.
I've been coming to the studio for almost a year at this point and I can say it's the best dance studio that I've been a part of.
The instructors here put the dancing and learning first so you get high quality courses and lessons. They are passionate teachers that are easy to follow and learn from but will also push you to take on the most you can handle so that you can grow and get better.
I've learned more in my short time here than I did at my previous dance training and I plan to keep at it.

I started going to the studio for the group salsa lessons in Spring of 2024. As an introvert, this is a great studio filled with friendly fellow students and great instructors! Sarajane is a great teacher, especially helpful when I was super new, and I’ve been lucky enough to have a couple of lessons with Anna too, which provided me so much growth.
My progress has been incredible. One‑on‑one attention helped me improve in salsa and other styles like bachata, country two step, and Argentine tango. I’ve even performed at the monthly socials and the annual showcase. As someone with multiple sclerosis who sometimes struggles with balance and other MS‑related symptoms, I never would have thought I’d be dancing like this when I started.
Everyone at the studio makes it fun to be there, and I’ve appreciated how the instructors understand how I learn and adjust when I don’t get something the first or second time. YCD has been instrumental in my progress as a dancer.

We are OBSESSED with YCD! Sarajane choreographed my first dance and my father/daughter dance for my wedding; both dances were some of my absolute favorite moments of the day. We received so many compliments and were told by guests that it was the best first dance they’d ever seen. More importantly, the process of learning and practicing was one of the highlights of wedding planning. Sarajane is an excellent teacher — so creative and truly delightful. Anna (the studio owner) was always so supportive when we practiced in the studio!
We also love the weekly salsa and waltz lessons. YCD has monthly socials that are so much fun — themed, welcoming, and a wonderful opportunity to dance, mingle, and meet people.
